How sad is it that you can't throw a real birthday party in the middle of your sim's lifespan without the party failing because they didn't age up? For those of us who use Battery's real age mod or track our sims' in-between ages with other methods, it can be a little lacklustre.

So, I made this little mod to fix that. Now you can throw a proper birthday party, complete with blowing out candles and opening presents and NO aging up!

Update 14/06/2025 - Added 'Give Toast' and 'Spray Fizzy Nectar' so they can be used on birthday sims/at birthday parties respectively (suggested by it's-time-o-clock).

Interactions

Birthday cakes (including modded non-birthday birthday cakes, and cake-connector-birthday cakes) have a new interaction: 'Blow Out Candles (No Age Up)'.

Also, there's a new birthday gift pile. You can set up to 2 birthday sims, put in gifts for them, and gather around to watch them open their presents. This is for @bietjie who mentioned wanting this on the creators-cave.

Finally (and this was @desiree-uk's idea), the gift box from the gift pile has been separated into it's own object so you can send a random present to sims anytime you want. Simply choose an owner and said owner can open the gift.

Party Conditions

Blowing out cake candles and being gifted an individual gift will give your sim the 'celebrated birthday' buff if they are involved in a birthday party. It will also satisfy the conditions of the party so that the game doesn't complain that nobody has aged up at the end of it.

Battery Real Age Mod

If you have Battery's mod installed, then the sim will get the 'Birthday' active topic on their birthday meaning they'll have the 'announce birthday' social interaction and whatever other features the topic unlocks.
