For over a decade, bubble baths have lived as immortals in our save games. Enough is enough!

Not only do bubble bath bottles have a (tunable) limited use, by default: 15, now, they even smell good!

Updates 04/05/24: Added 3 new scents! (More info on my tumblr here) 26/04/24: Certain dramatic (and loser, unstable, unlucky) sims may feel nauseous showering in the smell of hot lemon. Tuning is available in the XML. 11/01/24 - Bubble baths will now be used when showering too! (This can be disabled through the ITUN).

There are 6 types: scent free, rose scented, lemon scented, tea tree, deep metal and 3-in-1. Buy a bottle or two from the grocery store, bathroom/accents or plumbing/misc. and put them in your bathroom to get started.

If you have multiple bottles in your bathroom, once your sim starts their bath, they will pick a random bottle to use. So, if there’s a specific scent that you want to make off-limits, either take it out of the room or put it in a sim/object inventory.

• All bubble baths will give your sims a custom 2hr ‘Took Bubble Bath’ buff.
• Scent-free bottles have no extra added buff but snob sims will receive a negative ‘Bubble Residue’ buff once ‘Took Bubble Bath’ wears off.
• Rose scented bottles give a ‘Smells Like Rose’ buff and remove ‘aching back’ and ‘buzzed’. Others near your sim will receive a positive ‘Roses are red’ buff, just by proximity. Rose scented bottles also decrease your sim’s energy level slightly.
• Lemon scented bottles give a positive ‘Lemon Squeasy’ buff and remove ‘buzz crashed’. Others near your sim will receive a positive ‘mm lemons’ buff unless they are grumpy or mean-spirited, in which case they’ll receive a negative buff. Nobody is allowed to smell like lemons but them!
• Deep Metal will give a custom positive 'hit the pedal' buff. Men and women may get different buffs such as 'embarrassed', 'pumped' etc.
• Tea Tree will give a custom buff which may be either positive or negative. Removes the bad nights sleep buff. May give other various buffs.
• 3-in-1 Shower Gel will give a custom buff which may be either positive or negative. It may also give sim a bad hair day if my hairdresser mod is installed.

Bubble baths use up 1 ‘dose’ of bubble bath solution. However, once the ‘took bubble bath’ buff wears off, if your sim is still in the bath, they’ll be use another dose.

Have fun taking bubble baths! And if you play rotationally, have fun finding out which bottles other sims are bathing with! You can extend the buff lengths if you wish by editing the XML.

Conflicts: Mod-wise, none. Object-wise, there is an optional default replacement package for the original EA bubble bath, so if you download that, make sure you don’t already have a default replacement installed. Ps. this mod is also base game compatible.
