Roll the Dice

Roll the Dice
I include a lot of random rolls in my gameplay. Sometimes I want to get out my dice and sometimes I don't want to bother. Sometimes I remember when I want to do it, and sometimes I forget.
This mod adds 3 base game objects and 4 items requiring packs that come with interactions to roll a D20, D12, D10, D8, D6, or D4 or to flip a coin. You'll get a notification, and for the highest and lowest rolls, your sim will get a happy or sad buff. There's also a holiday tradition, Take a Chance, for child and older sims that gets fulfilled when you use one of the interactions.
There are two Surprise Holiday add-ons that add the potential to have a Roll thee Dice holiday either on Tuesday or on any day of the week. You can use either of them, or you can use both if you want a slightly higher chance of the holiday appearing. They require Seasons.
For people who want to make a random event holiday, here's a link to my Drama Roll spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fousiAhNtHpuagaDu8-gaABffU3yCWJKf7EQbJ46C6o/edit?usp=sharing (thanks to Waffle for reminding me)
The objects included are:
- a Coin, a base game object I repurposed and recoloured, with two swatches (gold and silver)

- a D20, a new mesh, base game compatible, with 27 swatches. If anyone wants to recolour is, please let me know so I can give you the .xcf/.psd. The others are fairly straightforward, but this one's more complicated.

- a deck of Tarot cards, a Life & Death object I repurposed and recoloured, with 9 swatches
- a deck of cards, a base game object I repurposed and recoloured, with 10 swatches
- a deck of Sabaac cards, a Batuu object I repurposed and recoloured, with 6 swatches

- a bowl of marbles, a mesh edit from For Rent, with 8 swatches

- a pile of feathers, a Cats & Dogs object I repurposed and recoloured, with 37 swatches

The objects are in the Recreation category, in Entertainment & Activities, or you can search for RollDice (one word).
The interaction is available for everyone from child to elder, and is not autonomous. It's not animated, just an interaction with notifications.
Infants and toddlers will ignore the holiday tradition, children will do it (but not love it), and teen to elder sims will love it except for sims with the Skeptical trait -- they'll ignore it.

Updates:
- Feb 22, 2026: Added two surprise holiday add-ons. Use either or both, but you need Seasons. Thanks to Waffle for the idea.
- Feb 22, 2026 part 2: if you downloaded last night/this morning, please redownload. I've uploaded the correct files. Make sure to delete the files from last night. They won't break anything, but they included unmerged and un-manifested files, so you'll have duplicates.
- March 10, 2026: Updated main file for an issue with the holiday not registering as completed.
amethyst-Roll the Dice.package is required. Only use the other files if you have the pack required.
