14 summers ago, Part 1: The last days of school
This chapter is an intermezzo between chapter 40 and what I would consider the "next book", taking a look back at what Flo's teenageyears were like - when signs of their current self were starting to form, but not without judgement and hardship. Their body changes into a direction, they're not sure they like and they want to explore beyond gender norms. While popular amongst girls, Flo unintentionally gives their male classmates a bad impression, and while they're friendly things have been rough with Fuchsia since their golden trio of them and Charlotte harshly broke up. On top of it, Flo still feels like they will never find love after their heart got broken on holiday two summers ago.
Chronologically, it takes place within Chapter 5, which was quite hurried and had some condensed timeframes, as I was still trying to do "legacy with some story" back then, which, euhm, did not succeed.
