Random Holiday Traditions

These are holiday traditions that I want to exist, but that don't fit in with Rules to Holiday Traditions or any other mod I have, and that haven't been made by anyone else that I know of or not done as I want them.

These may be added to randomly.

Drink Hot Cocoa - Drink hot cocoa from a Cozy Hot Cocoa Tray; make hot cocoa with a kettle (pour, not start), Cozy Hot Cocoa Tray, LittlBowBub's Hot Chocolate Machine, or LittlBowBub's Hot Chocolate Addon of Home Barista. I can't include drinking hot cocoa from the kettle or LBB's objects, because they use a generic drinking interaction that applies to a lot of things, so the focus is on the tray.

Make a Dessert - Make any kind of dessert (as tagged by the game). Wedding cakes from My Wedding Stories don't count, but ice cream does. I am not responsible for EA's tagging decisions.

Tea Party - Requires the Wonderland Playroom Kit. Have a sim (child or older, the interaction isn't available to toddlers, sadly) Drink Pretend Tea.

Magic Duel - Requires Realm of Magic. As a spellcaster, have a duel with another spellcaster.

Sword Duel - Requires Royalty & Legacy. Challenge someone to a duel and then duel them. Accepting a challenge won't work, you have to do the challenging.

Vampiric Duel - Requires Vampires. As a vampire, have a duel with another vampire; as a vampire, spar with another vampire.

Ping Pong - Requires Discover University. Play Ping Pong or Juice Pong.

Seasonal Ball Fight - Have a snowball fight, mud fight, or water balloon fight.

Dancing - Dance, alone or with others, using interactions on a stereo or using certain mods (Mercuryfoam - Ballroom Dance Mod, adopted by Mod Revivor; Mercuryfoam - Salsa Dance, adopted by Mod Revivor; Cute Romance by thepancake1 and MizoreYukii; and Romantic Slow Dance by Sacrificial -- warning that this site contains NSFW mods). Show Off Moves does not count. It never did, from what I can tell, and that feels more like performance than dancing to me. Group and paired (wedding dancing, slow dancing, waltzing) dances do. If I missed any, or if anyone desperately wants Show Off Moves to count, let me know.

This was originally by ChippedSim, who has stepped back from smaller mods to focus on larger mods that she feels more connection to. With permission, I've updated the tuning, the string table, and the list of dances that count. It's cute, and I'm glad to have it in my game.

Lightsaber Duel - Requires Journey to Batuu. Have a lightsaber in your inventory and challenge another sim with a lightsaber to a spar or a duel.

All holiday traditions require Seasons, or you don't have holidays. Some may require other packs.

• March 2, 2026: Made Drink Hot Cocoa compatible with LittlBowBub's Hot Chocolate Machine and the Hot Chocolate Addon of Home Barista (making hot chocolate only). Added Russian translations.
• March 5, 2026: Added Magic Duel, Sword Duel, and Vampiric Duel. In my next update of Rules to Holiday Traditions , there will be a tradition for any kind of duel, but I thought that sometimes you might want to be specific.
• March 26: Added Ping Pong and Seasonal Ball FIght. Added Russian translations to duels (sorry for the delay).
