Continuing Education

Congratulations on your decision to continue your education on your own terms. Not everyone is cut out for traditional school, or can find the time to attend. Our programs are designed to allow you to proceed at your own pace and to award you a Bachelor’s Degree, Doctorate, or Trade Certification when you successfully complete your final course. How long that takes is entirely up to you!

This is a set of aspirations that will see your sims learning and using skills that lead them to earning a Bachelor's Degree, Doctorate (no doctorates are included in the download at this time, but some are planned), or Master's Trade Certification trait and a certificate to hang on their wall.

Each aspiration will have 4 levels with 4 objectives each if you have the appropriate packs.

Currently included are Bachelor's Degree in Art History, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Certified Master Chef (Cooking), and Bachelor's Degree in Education. These are all base game compatible. Some future aspirations won't be, but the traits will be included in the main file so you can cheat them if you want to. The degrees are traits, not actual Discover University degrees.

The traits are also in the reward store, so you can buy them if you have 2500 satisfaction points.

The certificates are all under the same entry in the Catalogue--Bachelor's Degree. They're under wall decorations, and cost 1000 simoleons. You can switch between swatches of the same type of certificate, but you can't switch a bachelor's degree to a doctorate. They each come in three frame colours and two certificate colours. When you earn your degree, you'll get one of the six swatches at random. You can name them and give them a description.

Each level has tooltips that tell you why you need to learn, for example, Logic for an Art History degree.
