Dusty was supposed to be a nod to Dustin Broke the way Samantha and Kimberly Cordial are nods to the Pleasant sisters. Then he sort of became his own person by accident and now here we are. Feel free to have him as Samantha Cordial's high school sweetheart if you wish, or use him as a completely different character entirely.
