Autumn Quarter: Year One: The Bells 4

Back at the tavern, Peter has invested in a new game for the patrons, a chess table!

And shows Gretel Pullet how its done. Watch out Peter, that one's in love with half the settlement.

It was a regular day at the tavern, which has swiftly risen to being a Rank 4 business!

I love seeing Sir Hugh and his son, William stop by to have a drink and chat with the peasants. They may be Gentry, but they respect these people who work their lands and do what they can to share in their joys and heartaches.

I just love this guy...

Meanwhile, outside, Thea Gardner was trying to make a move on Adam Reed.

And then this happened:

I mentioned back when I was playing the Hackels that I suspected that this was a thing, and here we have it. Eloise is apparently just his type, and my initial reaction was "He's old enough to be your father!" clutches pearls. But then I remembered that this was a historical game and I have Inteen for a reason...frankly, Peter is a catch if we ignore his, erm, unique face. He owns a very successful business, has a large home and is higher in status than the Pullets , so this might be something worth pursuing. I know that he very much wants to remarry and have more children. I will probably play the Pullets next just to see if Eloise is interested at all. I don't want to force my peasants into loveless marriages if possible.

I'm saving that for the nobility, heh, heh.
