They met under the bridge in the industrial district.

On the beach, by the old pier. I found them there one evening.

It wasn't long before they were more than friends.

Amir was staying at his brother's house at the time. He was working on writing a book, but otherwise couldn't hold a job.

The novel was inspired by a dream he had, but he never told any one about that but Dora. He thought that might make the story sound juvenile.

One morning, Dora felt different.
