Mariam Nader and Milo Fredley have both arrived at Mission U. They are the first shantytown sims to qualify.
Milo got a room in Terrace Dorm, with two other boys and three girls. Everyone else is new, too. Some of them seem nice. Milo's room has a double bed, which means no room for a desk – he will have to work in the common room or the library.
His new clothes are very ugly, might need to spend some scholarship money on new threads!
Milo got through his first semester pretty easily (it was autumn), but didn't complete a term paper, so had to be content with a B+. He chose to spend half of his stipend immediately, on better clothes –a snazzy leather jacket and cool jeans. Not from the cheap clothing store, either, but from the campus boutique!
Mariam took a ground-floor room in Courtyard Dorm, the largest residence on campus (9 rooms total). Her room has a single bed and a desk for private study. Plus, there's an exercise bike right outside her door, which Mariam was quick to test the instant she had claimed her key. This dorm has a good-sized dining room and a computer lab, although the tv lounge is crammed into the stairwell space. The courtyard includes a pond, and creates a lovely suntrap for lazing in.
Mariam arrived with little thought of academia, although she did get enthused enough to write her term paper after hearing the professor's pep talk during the orientation class. Since then, she is maintaining a passing grade (thanks, term paper), but mostly wants to get to know her new housemates.
