Spring was fairly quiet in the Olivera house, especially as Florian decided to close the poker game for a while. It's at Level 9, pretty much of its own accord, and makes the place so busy at all hours.
Florian is spending more time at his newer business, the news stand in town. It's a lot more work, plus the hassle of travelling there each time, but it is coming along. Level 2 now. Sometimes he takes the twins along - they can get a bit of cash register training out of hours, and there are some books to keep them busy. Sometimes he takes Matilda, who can at least help with the customers!
At home, the family made some improvements to the yard, with brick paving in front of the house and a few plants.
Matilda finally got the car she has been wanting for ages. It's nothing flash, but she was very proud watching the scenery flash by, and wondering what the neighbours would think! Not many families have a car.
At the very end of the season, the twins aged to teen. Matilda arranged new curtains and wallpaper for their room. There was cake and pie to celebrate.
Marta got chocolate cake, an elegant grey outfit and a thirst for popularity. She may be less focussed on her studies for a while, especially as she has discovered the internet!
Jacinta, on the other hand, intends to throw herself into learning in a way she never did as a child. We'll see if it lasts. Jacinta received the guitar she has been wanting forever. She has never been keen on painting, but apparently music is what gets her. (It may be hard to get her to do anything else!)
The cake was very good. ;)
