The town of Edge is helping its poorer citizens, by funding a homeless shelter in a converted warehouse.

Services include an all-hours soup kitchen, and a food pantry for those who have cooking facilities, but no money for ingredients. Local food businesses can drop off excess items at the old garage, where they are sorted and made available.

(The food pantry is stocked with some of my grab-enabled ex-deco foods, and a dorm cook runs the dining room.)

Upstairs, there's a lounge with TV, a couple of computers, books and toys. There is a shared bathroom, and the bunkroom sleeps ten (although as this is a comm lot, the beds may never really be used).

It's nothing fancy, but it has food and shelter for those who need it, and a place to socialize and maybe even find a job. ;)
