Kugo,

I want to start by apologizing for your mother’s behavior during your last visit. Work has been consuming her lately, and it’s been weighing on her more than she lets on. It’s a sensitive subject at home right now, so I’d appreciate it if you didn’t bring it up with her.

As for me, work has been treating me well. I’m surprised I can still keep up with the younger ones, but I do my best to stay in shape.

I know your work is “top secret,” but I always enjoy hearing whatever you’re able to share.

How is Min holding up with everything? A toddler in the house is no small task. I hope he’s managing well.

I’m really looking forward to you, Min, and Cam joining us at the lodge this weekend. Your mother and I visited recently—she was as graceful as ever on the slopes. I, on the other hand, spent more time in the snow than on my feet.

It’ll be special to introduce Cam to Mt. Komorebi. I hope it’s the first of many trips we’ll share together.

We love you.
