The summer is long, boring and confusing. Flo still has the odd dream and all the feelings that came with it on their mind, as well as the shop assistant's comments. Internet searches seem futile, and to Flo, it all seems hopeless and confusing. They start to feel as if they'll always be a special case; in a bad way, for a teenager who above all just wants acceptance and belonging. A far cry from the subtle expectations put on them since their childhood.

Chapter contains references do body dysmorphia, body dysphoria, eating disorders, and contains hateful language towards sexual and gender minorities performed by characters.
