TL;DR

• this mod replaces the door sounds with lower volume version
• all door sound are now at 80db (ca. 15% less than before)
• you only need the Expansion Packs if you install all door sounds, the rest is Basegame compatible

Hey Simmers, Rudi has a small, but overdue adjustment for you: it's time for my eight mod.

Rudi is a notorious headphone user and my Sims have a home with many small rooms over multiple floors. My Family, containing 6 Sims and a cat, who are constantly strolling around the house resulted in many many ... OMG so many doors opening and closing again. After some time the door sound was just way to loud and obnoxious to handle over time. So I decided, to create this small adjustment. All door sounds are now reduced from 95db to 80db, that's a reduction of ca. 15% of sound volume. With this mod the door sounds are much quieter and comforting, yet audible.

Installation

just put the file in your packages-folder, the usual way, nothing special required.

Technical Details

• Patch: v1.67/v1.69 (probably works with lower patches as well)
• this mod edits the the open and close sounds of all doors
• if you have a mod who's replaces a door sound as well, they will conflict
• use delphys dashboard to check for conflicts
