After riding home with Victoria and their daughter Lonette, Drake walked next door to his parents house. He could tell that his mother was furious, but couldn't go against his father. /core/uploads/2026/02/18/60b5d7ff-b459-47d3-b150-0c31b6080449.jpeg “This scandal has probably reached every corner of the city by now, if not farther. Who would want to marry her now?” Beverly asked, burying her face in her hands. /core/uploads/2026/02/18/f17f6888-817c-43bb-ae16-f0ac3db44083.jpeg Drake comforted his mother the best he could. “Leslie has to find her own way, mom. Just give it time, I'm sure this will blow over.”

In truth, Drake wasn't sure if Leslie was going through a phase or not, but refused to upset his mother more than she already was.

“Where's dad?” /core/uploads/2026/02/18/44c6ae74-8681-4d61-a248-b8aeb0ee9058.jpeg “Oh, he's shut away in his office with Alexander,” Beverly grumbled in frustration.

Drake became suspicious. “Do you know why Alex is here?”

“No, he just said they had some business to discuss.”

Drake was pretty sure he knew what his dad and Alex were talking about, and it bothered him. "I'll go check in with Dad and Alex," he said. "And I'll give Leslie some more thought – see if I can help her out, too.”

For the first time that day, Beverly seemed genuinely relieved, and she gave Drake an encouraging nod as he headed to his dad's office.
