Have you ever wished the odd skins in the game were geneticized? That the unnatural white tone known as the "mannequin" skin was treated as a paler tone than regular light skin? Well, here's the answer to your wish! The mannequin skin is now set to ".01" instead of zero, so if your regular colored Sims have babies with your mannequin Sims, it'll be something in between.
Recommended mod: Mannequin babies can be born
What's the point?
The Sims 2 genetic system works like this: The lower the number, the more dominant a thing is. This applies to eyes, hair, and skin, although skin has a "range" that it also uses. That's what we're focusing on here. You can put whatever number here, but Maxis used "0.1" through "0.9" for their regular skins (S1 Light, S2 Tan, S3 Medium, and S4 Dark). All other skins (alien, mannequin, and zombie) were left without a value, therefore having a value of "0", making these skins dominant over every regular skin. I was totally fine with this, but a user in the Lazy Duchess server asked if there was an "equal genetics mod for skins". Unfortunately that is not possible without breaking the scale system, but I did have the idea to make the mannequin skin set to ".01" so it'd be on the scale without interfering with the other colors. I didn't even want to use it at first, but now I love it lol.
Thank you to LD's server for telling me what I'm doing, and of course, thank you to SimPE for making this feasible.
