Background:

Conall was very welcome...Until he was not. His mom wanted a powerful wizard, what she got was a tiny wolf, and she made it abundantly clear to her son. There wasn't only fear of what he is, but also of what could happen to him - fights, experiments, or being stolen and taken up in a werewolf clan, and her losing him. Because even though she hated what he was, he was still her little boy.

This led to to him often being locked up in his early childhood, especially after accidentally hurting his "cousin"/little sister Demi. The inevitable happened, the boy escaped, and got kidnapped by the Wolffs. His family managed to get him back, but not without leaving some damage, and urgently fled town.

His mom refocused on her second son, and Conall was very much left to his own devices, free to do whatever. It was fine like this, but he could never get the motherly love he needed. He went hunting, made mistakes, and fled to auntie Bianca, who was always much kinder to him. His mom popped out some more babies including his perfect little brother George, and from his 18th birthday onwards he mainly spend lots and lots of time wandering around town, switching between sleeping at aunt Bianca's and the army base.

Not much happened in his early 20's, and he started figuring out his kind doesn't quite age and change as quickly - while others aged 10 years, he aged barely 7, a difference that grew bigger and bigger. When he was almost thirty, an old friend of his younger cousin was back in town. A girl with raven-auburn hair, perfectly rosy skin and big green eyes. He recognized her, but he would have never paid attention to her when she was younger, he was just another friend of his cousins. But now... Unfortunately, his rough early start left behind mental (and physical) scars. He felt like it wasn't meant to be - him being succesful, a wife, children... That Charlotte had her issues as well, and had a serious streak of insanity, ended up making them grow closer together, maybe she wasn't too "above his league" after all, he realized. "We can be broken together, maybe?", and before he knew it, she was pregnant with triplets - mysteriously fertile woman -, a fact he felt iffy about because he didn't want to continue his curse, but with one of the boys being like him, he also felt great about not being so alone anymore.

Even discovering she lied to him for years, can't break his love, he's just loyal to a fault sometimes, and easily taken advantage of due to his insecurity, but at the end of the day he's one of the kindest, most sincere people around. Charlotte herself turned over a leaf as well - and they're being the perfect nuclear family he never thought he'd deserve.
