And so we got to the last bit of the "First impressions" series! Now, I say first impressions instead of review, since learning from other players, there is so much more stuff that I haven't been able yet to get through in the 5 days I tried playing it!
A lt has also changed after the last review I did on the game. I'll be looking over what Island Getaway has to offer, but will briefly also share what's been updated since the last time you might've played the game. π
Cahaya
It's been on the map for a while, but we can finally we can check it out!
Cahaya is the newest world that's shipped with the newest DLC for InZOI. It's a lovely tropical place, based off of Indonesia! While Bliss bay came with a lot of cool beaches, Cahaya takes this to the next level.
Cahaya comes with a bunch of lovely views! If it's not for the beaches, it's definetly the realistic setting they've made for us to wander around in. While, the world still struggles with issues like having a bunch of "prop houses", they're not as bad as I'd felt before in the other 2 worlds as I went exploring.
As you enter the world, you'll notice that it comes with 2 sections! In the west (the right-hand side) we'll find the mainland, and in the east (left), we'll see the resort island!
Now, your first impressions might be "Oh! If i'm a local, can I go to the resort? Is that at all fun?" and without getting ahead of myself, actually, yes! It's a bit like going on holiday in your own country in that regard π
The Mainland of Cahaya
The mainland is where you'll find your ZOI living in, if you're finding yourself moving to it (like I did!) It's quite different from the resort. The feeling is much different in contrast, which is quite nice! It means that if you don't want the perfectness of the resort's view, the more realistic views of the mainlands simply reset that.
That's not to say that the mainland is ugly in any way. In fact, it's really gorgeous!
When running around, you'll find yourself seeing a lot of phone stores and little street restaurants, as well as houses. (Which in this case are of course props). then, the further you go out of the central part of Cahaya, turns into these lovely farmlands!
At first the prop buildings scattered around the world was something that bothered me, I felt that it would become the same as playing in Bliss bay, where things felt quite same-y over time and really not having much to do.
Turns out I was VERY wrong! The new collectable skills actually give that breathe of life I was really hoping to find upon early access! (more on that later π) It actually feels like it ties in so well into making a fun gameplay, making you actually want to explore the world, rather than just fast traveling everywhere!
Another thing that you may find, is the amount of trash that's around. Ironically, it's something you'll start to not notice as much. It just becomes part of the world, and truth be told, I've been adding some contruction decorations around the house too just so the house blends in a bit with the scenery π
And the community lots? They fit in very well with the world itself! A lot of it is quite outdoors-y, as rain is rare (but possible! In fact that was the first thing that happened when I went into game π) The local park has a lot of craftables to check out, as well as fishing.
Yoga is also a really big thing in Cahaya, and finding a yoga mat around the world is really not that difficult. There are even a couple of them at the basketbal field!
The world also has a couple of pets around. During the day I've seen a lot of dogs around, but at night, I found myself seeing more cats! I'm not sure if that's my own illusion, but it's cute! And every pet's behavior towards you is also a bit different. Some pets love the attention you give them, others rather want to be left alone.
Restaurants are also not a hard thing to find! Next to the central park, you'll find a restaurant if street food or vending machine dinners aren't your thing for that day.
Or maybe you want a more rural cafe experience? Then that's there too!
While most of these restaurants sell the same type of items as before, there are a few new items to buy, such a mango rice or Bakso. The beach also has a couple of restaurants, if you want a lovely sunset restaurant experience.
Though, if you think that's it... hah! You just wait, because Cahaya has much more to offer from a street food perspective! π
But before we want to check out the street food, we're going to head over to the newest additional cafe. The smoothie bar! A lot of these props you can also find in buy mode, so making your own smoothie bar shouldn't be hard to do in Bliss Bay or Dowon.
Street vendors in this world are EVERYWHERE! I like to think that in Cahaya, there are more street food options than vending machines. Want a kebab? We got those. More grilled fish, maybe at the beach? No problem! Wanting something more vegetarian? Head over to those Fruit stalls to get some fresh Mango!
On the beach I think you'll find a even bigger variety of vendors, selling a lot. I've seen Grilled corn, skewers, coconut drinks, Shaved Ice... It's a lot! And I suppose because your ZOI is getting them from other ZOIs you can see, rather than rabbithole food trucks, it just makes the experience a bit more human-like!
In fact, in Cahaya you won't ever find a food truck. And I'm okay with that!
As night fell, I explored the Central Market. It's basically what you'd expect! A really big overhead market place. While it appears empty, it actually has a lot of vendors selling food here as well.
You can even get a new haircut if you like!... except that my enthusiam was killed rather quickly, as no other ZOI was around to, well, cut my character's hair. Basically what it is, is just a way to sit down and CAZ opens up to change your own haircut.
It's little things like that, I wish they would add a little more humanity to. It's game mechanics like that, that make the world feel lonely in a sense. Too individual, without the surprising relationships you could get out of it. Or even a sense of community.
Heading north from the central market, you'll find a smaller extension of the market. Here you can sell your own items!
This is that place you want to sell any tools you've been crunching to make to get your handiness skill up. In my case, I had too many potatoes to sell lol.
The thing that got me a little confused, trying to get it to work, is that your ZOI has to literally stand on the rug, for the "Start selling" interaction to pop up. I'd just left the rug alone for a couple of days, expecting things to be sold automatically.
Turns out that's not how it works lol. I think this still needs a bit of tweaking, but probably will be patched once Cahaya is actually out in the coming days! I do like this feature, I even manage to sell my half empty soda can! π
Cahaya also comes with a library! It's very classy looking and quite nice. I know being a bookworm is not a thing in InZOI, but I suppose the "reading" preference comes in close to that π. While in the two times I've visited the library in my game, I sadly hadn't seen any other ZOIs checking out the place.
The next day, it was mini Lyralei's turn to go to the beach!
Beaches in Cahaya are quite different from Bliss Bay! First noticable difference is that the beaches in Cahaya are much more blue, and more tropically looking.
Generally, you'll see a bunch of towels and surf boards scattered around, just like in Bliss Bay. But the real difference between the two is that in Cahaya, diving is a huge thing. Diving is a new feature that ties in into the swimming skill. I'll get into that soon.
Not much into swimming? Or running low on funds? The water taxi is a cool way to get to the other side of the world! There you'll find the resort.
(And yes, you can swim all the way to the other side if the water taxi is not your thing π)
But if you do have a couple of money to spend, we also have the option to rent (and sail!) a ship! You'll have to do it at some of the ticket booths. They look closed, but they are open! Just make sure to run over to them for the interaction to show up π
The ship is great for getting around from one place or another. It's especially cool that you steer it manually, rather than doing it through pathfinding, but other than disembarking and swimming close to the boat... there's not that much to do.
I think here there could've been a bit more opportunity in the sense of, tanning on the boats or fishing if you have your fishing rod with you! Maybe more rarer fish are in the deeper sea and we could only get them through having a boat. Right now having a better fishing rod is the only way to gain rarer fish, which... takes away the fun a bit to explore.
In Cahaya, you'll find a couple of turtle sanctuaries to go to. Though, they seem to really only be decorations. You can't seem to interact with any of the turtles, but that's allright! I think it's good to have a little bit of turtle awareness, that disturbing them isn't something you'd want to do.
Especially since there are baby turtles around π But it still makes for a cute photoshot with your ZOI though!
New Skills
You see, with the newest skills, the world actually feels worth exploring! The very first thing I found as I was running around were these rock patches, some branches and once I got to the beach, these sand patches!
In the sims (but especially The Sims 3) collecting things around the world was my favourite thing to do! Finding gems, seeds for my plant mom sim or bugs was my absolute favourite past time in it. I'd often try to find all the gems, made entire spreadsheets of where you'd find what in the world... It made the world feel more complete, giving more opportunities to roleplay other stories, such as living like a hermit! Or maybe rags to riches.
InZOI comes with a couple of new, and expanded on skills, of which are:
- (Expansion of) Handiness
- (Expansion of) Gardening
- (Expansion of) Fishing
- Gather
- Swimming
Crafting:
In this case also known as "Handiness" (or well, expansion of π). Before the DLC, this skill used to only be able improve in from repairing things. But there's a new way now....
The Crafting Bench
The crafting bench is a bit of a reminder of Animal Crossings: New Horizons. The mechanics are quite similar to that game too, except that in this case it doesn't make furniture π
The Crafting bench comes with two different "crafting" interactions: Crafting tools and crafting jewlery!
For Crafting tools you really only need money! No need to have any handiness skill as of yet. Great for improving it from the get go!
Crafting Tools
While crafting tools is not mandatory to enjoy fishing, or gardening, it can give you tools that you cannot buy in the world (more on that later π).
You'll first start out with a basic Pickaxe, Watering can, a Wooden Fishing rod and a pitchfork that you can make, and directly use for your skills!
While these basic tools are fine as they are, you'll soon notice that having better tools can give you much rarer things! A Stone pickaxe for example only gives you common ores, and the same is for the Wooden Fishing Rod.
Now, you'll notice that your handiness skill doesn't quite level up as quick to a point where you can quickly make those upgraded tools! If learning handiness from the crafting bench is the only thing you want to do, you'll have to have quite a bit of money and patience to create multiple tools, to then sell later on. π (Or, just repair more TVs! π)
Crafting Jewlery
I must admit, it was a little confusing at first. I had collected a bunch of rocks, but finding any of the ingredients I needed was quite hard to do! Not only did I struggle to find the materials for it, I also couldn't buy them unlike some of the crafting materials.
I'll update this part later, since I haven't quite figured it out yet π
Gathering Materials
Materials are scattered all over the world, and generally not hard to miss! They can look like shells, a bunch of trash (most of those are decor though), mining spots or branches! But I've also come across them as materials that stranded on the beach.
While the resources are pretty much always in the same spot the next day, the mining spots for example, change to a different spot colour at times! Sometimes you get an ordinary spot, and other times you get a silver, gold, copper or mixed one! Hovering over them also gives away what they're supposed to be π
But there do seem to be places where the spawn of rarer mining spots are found. Like the deserted island!
Once you gathered some materials, it can be good to see if you have enough to upgrade your tool! Specifically the pickaxe and the fishing rod are highly upgradable. This was a little confusing for me at first, but "Advanced Pickaxe" and "High-end Rod" is the option you want. From there you can make yourself a "copper", "Silver", "iron", "golden" or "Diamond" version of them.
The better the material, the more rare stuff you'll find! So if you're struggling on finding gold, get yourself a iron pickaxe π
With other words, it's basically minecraft! Want better materials to mine? Upgrade that mining grear!
Asking the locals
This is actually my favourite feature ever, but that's probably because I looked so much into this when I was working on my hobbies and interests mod. You can ask locals for tips! Specifically for where you can find things, how to get certain collectables, etc.
While I love this feature, it took me a bit to figure it out. This will probably change in the future, but the wording for the interaction that the tip gave me, compared to what it actually was did not really help me.
The option you want is "Ask about info on enclopedia" instead.
After asking the local in question, you get a log entry! It gives you a hint on how to get this particular item! π I really love this! Though, it can take a bit before you get new log items since not everyone is willing to share anything with you (and sometimes becoming friends make this easier).
The locals you'll have the most luck getting info from, are the ones you see doing exactly what you're doing... Collecting! So keep an eye out on those ZOIs digging in the sand, or in the park.
There's supposedly also a main market person that you can get better tips from, but aside from the vendor at the farm shop, I'm not sure.
Fishing
Getting into fishing is quite easy! And you don't always have to have money for it! (but you probably should eventually :p). It's pretty much the same as before the DLC, but with some adjustments!
Fishing is done either through finding a fishing spot, where you see those blue bags scatered around the place. It's probably good to start out with those if your ZOI is new and needing to get some funding going.
Getting better fish
Want to catch that huge shark you've been trying to want to collect in your massive fish tanks? Not only would that require a better fishing skill, but also a better fishing rod!
There are 2 ways to obtain this. Either: Craft a better rod (more fun), or buy one at the Farm Shop. If you do end up buying one, going for the steel one directly is a good move. Just know if you want to catch that shark or bigger fish, you'll need to find the diamond fishing rod somewhere (or craft it!).
If you want that Diamond fishing rod (or better tools in general without crafting), just know that the "Whatever Tiny Shop" has 3 new items every day. They can be fish, tools, or random decoration. π
In the end, fishing can be done anywhere. A pond or a sea should have those fishies you're looking for! Also make sure to fish at night/day because some only show up then!
Overall it's a really cool feature if you love fishing in games and collecting them like pokemons π. I certainly do! The thing I would've loved to see is doing more with the fish tanks. Feeding your fishies or cleaning their fish tanks just makes you feel more involved with the skill.
And if you really don't want any fish you got plenty of, turning them into fish fillets or selling them is always a good option.
Gardening
Of all the things, I love gardening the most! I hadn't really touched on it before, since it wasn't so fleshed out. (Initially the crops you bought from buy mode and they'd come in a flower pot).
But my oh my did they expand on this skill!
First things first, seeds need to be purchased from the farm shop. Unlike the sims, using existing crops will not work (hence why I had so many potatoes to sell! π¬). As far as I can tell, growing certain crops are not locked behind a skill level, which I think would've made more sense.
Tomatoes for example are not really easy to grow in real life, unless you know what you're doing. Whereas a strawberry plant is a little more beginners appropiate.
Either way, from the start, you can get yourself banana seeds, tomato seeds, mango seeds, sweet potato seeds, potato seeds and corn seeds.
Here what's fun is that different ways of growing them gives you different results! For example, if you're having a hard time having bug-eaten tomatoes, simply leave the fertilizer π. Or if you want rarer ones, growing them with better fertilizer already helps a bunch! But if you're looking for creating more weirder and rarer crops then the "Jewel Can" can be a good item to obtain!
Getting the jewel can is pretty easy, or extremely challenging. I've gotten mine before from the "Whatever Tiny Shop" myself where it was on sale, but it's also craftable. You just need a diamond in order to create it.
A few of the foods can also be used to make dishes! While I think this can be fleshed out a bit better by making crafting a dish a choice (and therefore making them free), it's still nice that this feature is included anyways. Rarer fruits and vegetables also make the item better in quality.
I think what I am missing is a bit of knowing how gardening can be more beneficial. In the sims, even if you had a cooking level of 10, it was pretty hard to make a "perfect" dish since it was reliant on fresh ingredients. I'm not sure if InZOI has this feature too, but I haven't encountered it in that way yet.
Swimming
Before, swimming was, if my memory serves me well, not really an option. While the feature itself was really only cool to have in Bliss bay, I go get why it wasn't in the game till now.
Swimming is a skill that starts happening once your ZOI touches the water. That's either if you run into the sea yourself, or have them swim in the pool! Either way, the addition of it is very welcomed!
My only complaint by doing it this way is that every ZOI knows how to swim from the start. The animation for it doesn't really change. I think it would've been better if they, say, just flounched at first and if you went deeper into the ocean you risk drowning. Or the need of a pool noodle!
It adds a little more depth to the skill and a sense of progression too π
Swimming in pools can be quite fun with the new floaties you can get! While they're only donut-shaped floaties (and not a bed you can lay in), I was hoping on seeing more variety in floaties, rather than having the same object 4 times in different colours. Taking them into the sea would've been really cool too! But maybe I've been too spoiled by the sims. π
Zois can also dive now! It's tied into the swimming skill. In order to go diving, you do need to rent diving gear, which is pretty pricey if you ask me. The beginners gear starts at 800, and the pro gear is around 1500.
While diving is cool! It also made me realise I was expecting too much from it.
So, my idea was that, once I use my beginners diving gear, that I will improve my swimming skill and eventually at, say, level 4 or 5 upgrade it to the second gear. Then, hoped that she'd be fully geared up in a proper diving gear set and we could manually explore the ocean!
However, that ended up not being the case. Sure there are cool structures you can find, but because you can't find treasures underwater or catch fish this way, it doesn't really tie in with the exploration that they did so well on with the world itself. And I feel that's been such a let down for water exploration.
The Resort
Not in the mood to become a local of Cahaya, but instead one of those good old tourists? Or maybe you rather swim over like I did because you missed the water taxi at your first go and accidentally got to the resort that way?
Then Cahaya got that opportunity as well! With the resort on the left side of the island, you will feel right at home at this holiday destination!
One thing to remember: If you are planning on going over there for holiday, right now the mechanic works that you're simply moving into that town. I'm not sure if this will be changed later on, but that would be more realistic if they do.
Right as you enter the resort, you will want to walk more to the center of the resort grounds till you see the building saying "Sri Lestari Resort". This is the entrance where you can book your room!
Now, just like in real life, the rooms can get quite expensive. And frankly, I think for user experience they could've also made a dialogue option of which house to go for, even if it's the outside. Right now it's quite hard to know what room is what, and if they're family appropiate or not.
And that's why I went through that trouble for you! :D
Room 403, Private Water Villa
Price:
1 night : 1,800
2 nights: 3,500
* 3 nights: 5,200
Look at this comfortable beauty! It's at the sea, so if you rent a boat this should absolutely complete your ZOIs holiday! In fact, it's my favourite stay, but that's probably my introverted little heart talking here π
While not really family appropiate, it's got 1 double bed and 1 bathroom. So perfect for a honeymoon as well!
Room 108, Garden Villa
Price:
1 Night: 2,000
2 Nights: 3,900
* 3 Nights: 5,800
A super simple little place! Perfect for that honeymoon trip! The place comes with one bedroom, and a small kitchen with a double bed.
Room 115, Garden Villa
Price:
1 Night: 2,000
2 Nights: 3,900
* 3 Nights: 5,800
A more budget-y, but family friendly place to stay! It's got 3 beds (2 single beds, 1 double bed) and 1 bedroom. Pretty close to this one is the main relaxation spot, as well as the arcade!
Room 302 Premier Ocean View Village
Price:
1 Night: 2,500
2 Nights: 4,900
* 3 Nights: 7,300
Bit more on the pricier side, and it certainly looks a bit like it! The place comes with 4 bedrooms (3 single beds and 1 double bed). So if grandma is coming along on holiday too, she certainly can in this village room! π
This one also comes with a swimming pool! But if the private swimming pool isn't enough, the main pool is right in front of the place.
Room 201 Premier Ocean View Village
Price:
1 Night: 2,500
2 Nights: 4,900
* 3 Nights: 7,300
The absolute unit of a space! When I rented this place, I thought my ZOI would be having roommates lol. It's got 2 bedrooms (2 double beds, 1 single bed), so if your parents in law decided to bring themselves to your honeymoon, this would probably be the best place to rent lol.
The place has a huge swimming pool too, as well as the appropiate lounge chairs. It also has a library and a massive kitchen with a gorgeous living room!
This one is also very close to the main swimming pool, so if your ZOI has any kids with them and money to spend, this is also a perfect place for it!
Deserted Island
Price: 0 per night π
I like to think they added it so close to the resort, so that if you have no money, they send you there lol.
From the docs where the water villages are, you can easily swim towards it (if renting a boat is out of the question of course!) Then just simply swim to it, and before your energy runs out, you'll reach it! You will need to pass the shark invested shores of the island, but having done this twice with my ZOI, she's still fine! So yours will be too!
The island is filled with things to do! There are a lot of collectable items you can use for crafting! This island is perfect if you want to roleplay being stranded on a deserted island, or if you want to challenge your homelessness/hermit play to the next level!
it already comes with cardboard beds and a campfire, so if you fish enough you should also be able to use the campfire for dinners.
Things also wash up to the shore of it. So make sure to keep an eye out for it!
But is this place at all cool to explore when you don't want to play as a deserted ZOI? Well, yeah actually. To my surprise, this is the place to find a lot of the high quality minerals and such. So if you rent a boat, it shouldn't take long to get to this lovely place to check out those minerals to mine π
Things to do
The resort comes with a bunch of places to go! There's a swimming pool, an arcade, a spa, plenty of playground and a local temple to explore!
This is where you'll find a lot of the cool stuff you'll find yourself doing a lot. The arcade, buffet and the spa is right here. Including some gift shops if you'd want to return home with some cool things!
This is also where you can win, or buy points that you can use to also buy or win prices! There's a turtle bot race, where you guess which turtle will finish the quickest....
Or try to win a bowling ball contests with the kidsm getting in all those strikes. Maybe some small arcade games is what you're feeling like doing.
Or maybe decide to hop in the sauna after all that swimming you've done. Maybe mom needs a day off, and needs to treat herself in the spa? (but seriously, the spa IS pretty cool!)
There you'll be getting a proper massage, or soaking yourself in some lovely lavender rose water to smell amazing, as it softens your ZOIs skins. Or maybe find yourself in the sauna and regretting everything the minute you're in there.
Of all things to do, I actually like the spa the most. The entrance to it costs 300, but given that this is a one time purchase, that's all fine with me lol. It's not a day card as I thought it would be.
You can also take a relaxing dive into the pool! There's 2 of which one is more dedicated to the slides. Now, the slides look impressive, but your zoi goes off the middle one, and even then it's more or less a cutscene where you're in first person mode.
While I get the idea behind this, since it was also done with the rollercoaster in Bliss Bay, I would've loved to see my ZOI on it, personally. Sure, I'm playing my ZOI, but that doesn't mean I feel like I am my zoi. I just want to feel happy for her! (Or I guess ruin their lives lol).
Overall the second pool is quite nice. It's big, and it even comes with a pool bar to eat at! Your ZOI can also chill out at the nearest playground if they like, that's right next to the pool.
The temple is a great place to visit, but I do think it will get old pretty quickly. While there seems to be some game mechanics that add more luck to your ZOI, it's otherwise just, well, a pretty place.
A bit further away from the main temple you got the sport and primarily wellness area. Here's where you want to be doing the morning yoga.
And last but not least, the resort also got a beach, with a place to watch... advertisements lol. I do get what the idea was, one of those movie nights. But those events aren't actually a thing as of right now.
The overal resort experience
It's not bad! I think it's definetly a place I will visit a couple of times when playing the game, but I also think 3 nights is plenty. If it was any longer, I think you'd be done with the resort in no time.
By making it shorter, I think the playability becomes a bit better. It's definetly a place you should only be visiting once in a while, or if your ZOI wants a honeymoon. Otherwise, it's not worth living in. And that's okay! That's exactly what they were going for, and that's exactly how we experience resorts too in real life π
Conclusion
InZOI: Island Getaway (Cahaya) is absolutely massive β definitely a well-thought-out DLC that feels rich, detailed, and full of content. It doesnβt just bring new items, but also plenty of things to do and places to explore.
The new world itself is gorgeous, extremely realistic, and rewards exploration in a way that feels refreshing. The introduction of gathering and crafting adds the extra gameplay depth I was missing in my earlier review of the base game. In fact, the crafting and gathering systems tie in so smoothly that I find myself wanting to craft almost everything now. If youβre into collecting, this feature is going to hook you. π
That said, not every new skill feels equally fleshed out. While gathering and crafting shine, others are still missing that interconnected gameplay loop that The Sims 3 excelled at. Back then, skills often tied together in meaningful ways β for example, resurrecting a Sim required investment in gardening, cooking, and fishing. By comparison, the new fishing and swimming skills feel a little underdeveloped.
Swimming, for instance, has no visual progression. Your ZOI simply gets βbetterβ over time without cues like struggling at first, using a pool noodle, or visibly improving with each level. Fishing could also benefit from more complexity: catching specific fish in different weather or seasons, finding rare deep-sea species, or experimenting with bait types. Right now, itβs a little too rinse-and-repeat for my taste.
The resort system is another highlight. Players who enjoy family gameplay will love it. But one immersion-breaking drawback is that going on holiday currently requires moving to a new town. It works, but it doesnβt feel seamless, and Iβd love to see that tweaked in the future.
On the flip side, the DLC also opens up a great Rags to Riches playstyle. Between the cardboard box beds, fishing, and gardening, itβs easier than ever to tell those humble-beginnings stories. π
That said, InZOI is still missing a certain sense of community. While meeting new people has become easier and more fun after the last update (you can finally hang out!), many NPCs like cashiers still feel a bit lifeless. Often youβre simply ordering from a menu, without interaction. Even for things like haircuts β if another ZOI gave your character a quick cut before entering CAZ, that would already feel more immersive. Right now, those elements arenβt fully there yet.
So if I had to give it a rating, Iβd say InZOI with this DLC is easily a 7/10 for my playstyle. For family play, though, itβs still closer to a 5/10. But since itβs still in early access β and the devs are clearly improving things with each update β I wouldnβt let that discourage you. π
Should I Play It?
If you found the early access of InZOI a bit lacking in activities, then yes β absolutely! And Iβd recommend starting in Cahaya. The world offers so much content, and everything ties together beautifully. While mining spots and gathering areas exist in other towns, Cahaya feels more alive and rewarding to play in.
Family play is still developing, but social interactions have improved drastically. ZOIs now feel more distinct, with personalities and emotions that stand out. Gone are the days where everyone felt the same β Iβve already had situations where I struggled to maintain relationships because two ZOIs just werenβt compatible, and honestly, thatβs something Iβve always wished The Sims did better.
On top of that, buffs are more meaningful now and even show on your ZOIβs face, adding personality and realism.
While InZOI may not replace The Sims for everyone, this DLC feels like a love letter from the devs β a clear βweβre listening, and we care.β And that alone makes Island Getaway (Cahaya) worth playing when it launches. π
