Part 10: Custom Content Resources and Recommendations

Honestly, there are a shockingly large amount of resources out there for a Medieval/Historic TS2 game, and I'll list some of my favorites here...If I was to recommend a course of action, it would be to:

1. Immediately register and log into www.medievalsims.com.
2. Once you're in, navigate to the "Merchant's Row" all the way at the bottom.
3. Once you arrive, click on every. single. thread. and every. single. link.
4. Download everything that catches your eye. Absolutely everything.
5. If you've registered, now make your way up to the regular forum and peruse that for goodies as well. DO NOT forget to check the Secret Santa and Contest threads!

My second favorite is The Medieval Smithy. Honestly, while every single set here is amazing, I love the Walls and Floors that come from here the most. They are beautifully crafted and the Walls come in sets to avoid that horrible tiling that you see so often in Sims patterns.

Almighty Hat's site is something that I've referenced several times here before, and for good reason. Is it chock-full of Medieval Sim goodies, all beautifully made. I think that 95% of my CC hairs come from here and my most beautiful clothing as well. Make sure to check out every post, and don't skip over the hair and accessory dumps as some of the best stuff is hidden in there!

Nixed Sims is another treasure trove of great and incredibly useful items, many of which are conversions from TSM, which I loved the look of!

KatiVIP (or the Cradle of Darkness) has some amazing items on there. I would particularly recommend the Left Suburb Series as it not only has some beautiful Medieval pieces, but also a couple of my favorite Walls and Floors. There is a ridiculous amount of content on there, so go slowly and choose the bits you like. I see stuff that is made using programs like 123D Catch and models that are quite high-poly, so just watch out for your filesizes and be selective!

Obviously, Mod The Sims needs to be on this list. A search for "Medieval" will bring you almost a thousand downloads to choose from!

Buggybooz's Nooks and Niches and all it's additions are an absolute must-have set. Nuff said. You can find recolors for these at PBK and at...

Garden of Shadows. You'll need to do a bit of digging here, but there are tons of great Medieval resources here to be discovered. Plus it's just a fantastic site for TS2 in general.

These are my favorites, but there are many more resources out there for this type of game, and there is no doubt you will never stop finding new things to add. Just remember to keep that Downloads folder nice and tidy so that when you inevitably want to prune and size it down, you won't have too much trouble :)

I'll tack Hat's resource list on here as well because she covers a lot of things that I didn't:
Hat's Resource List

And also, you'll find as you're going through that some sites don't exist anymore, or that the old paysites are no longer available. (Boo, paysites!)

Visit Sims 2 Graveyard for TS2 content from closed sites
Visit The Booty for content previously locked behind paysites.
