I always wanted a mustache marking for cats. And I was always so disappointed that there wasn’t one. Because a virtual recreation of my pet simple isn’t them unless it has their exact markings and patterns, am I right? So I took it upon myself to painstakingly create my kitty’s unique markings, and then I made some others as well. All together I made a total of 26 markings for cats and 11 markings for dogs. All of them are genetic, are enabled for kittens/puppies, labeled, and have custom icons. The icons aren’t great, but the Maxis generated icons didn’t show some of the markings’ details at all and I wanted solidarity between the set (that, and I wanted everyone to easily be able to tell what marking is what).

Nose & Toe Beans - For Cats & Dogs. When I first started making custom unnatural furs, I struggled between whether to make their toes and noses a more natural color or leave them unnatural. This marking was made so that I would no longer have to choose. Colorful noses and toes for all!

Venus Left/Right - For Cats & Dogs. Based on internet famous Venus the cat, this marking applies a solid coloring to half of the pet’s face.

Chimera Left/Right - For Cats & Dogs. Designed to be used with Venus, but can be used separately as well. This marking applies a solid coloring to half the pet’s body from the neck down. Surprisingly useful in adding subtle diversity to dalmatians.

Sweetheart Left/Right - For Cats & Dogs. This marking adds a sweet heart against the side of the pet’s rear.

Sourheart Left/Right/Double - For Cats & Dogs. Sourheart is an inverted version of Sweetheart. Due to being inverted, Sourheart allows the ability to layer other markings underneath so that they show up only where the heart is and not on the body. This was designed with 'tiger patches’ in mind, or cats who have stripped spots.

Head - For Cats and Dogs. A marking that was made to work with Sourheart markings. This applies a solid coloring to the pet’s entire head.

Mittens’ Mustache - For Cats Only. An asymmetrical mustache marking for the mustached felines.

Jaw - For Cats Only. A solid marking that applies to the lower half of the pet’s face.

Chiny Chin - For Cats Only. Originally a first attempt at the Jaw marking, but turned out surprisingly cute on its own. It applies a solid coloring to only the chin.

Chin Stripe Left/Right - For Cats Only. A thick stripe that extends from one edge of the mouth downwards toward the middle of the chest.

Helmet Extender - For Cats Only. A marking that was designed to be used this the Maxis Helmet marking. It makes the helmet marking extend to the outer edges of the pet’s mouth.

Bib - For Cats Only. An asymmetrical bib that starts just below the neck and extend down towards the edge of the chest.

Long Boot Left/Right Front/Rear - For Cats Only. Four longer sock markings.

Cuff Left/Right Front/Rear - For Cats Only. Four asymmetrical, non-identical leg markings.
