Now my texture defaults for NL hairs are done, I needed to remake my obaasan Matchmaker and Crumplebottom defaults! + bonus retexture under the cut (˶ˆᗜˆ˵)
These are just the hairs, fot the clothes, makeup and accessories in the picture, you need to have a look at my 2023 post, which itself was a retooling of my 2019 defaults.
For the matchmaker hair, I kept it as the established tight wave hair, but swapped the textures with alanna-goth’s afterglow retexture. pretty straightforward!
For Crumplebottom though, I wasn’t too happy with the elder hair I was using previously, so went looking for something I felt fit a bit better with my current vision for mean obaasan Crumplebottom. This turned out to be a real struggle and I learned I actually don’t have many options for my kimono clad elders that I’m happy with, and that’s a pain. landed on Helga 80 even though it’s similar to the BG low bun as it’s sleeker and well styled and fits well with wafuku, but ideally I’d have wanted something more similar to the poofy but sleek 50’s inspired buns you see on elders in wafuku oftentimes. Just turns out that’s quite hard to find without loose strands every which way so I may have to fix that at some point- not that I’m surprised as hairstyles geared towards elders are fairly few and far between in sims 2 cc aha.
Of course in order to make crumplebottom’s hair replacement, I needed to retexture Helga 80 in afterglow, so here’s that in custom version! Turns out this hair has surprisingly poor mapping, but not the worst I’ve seen, either.
- Helga 80, TF-EF, 4894 polys, 1 binned afterglow family in one file. Mesh and volatile base texture included in zip.

I loove F06 in all it’s glory. I wish my hair would do that. Juice 10 is @digisims2’s remapped version and uses Digi’s textures, just with actions run over them. I added patterns back onto the scarf though as I wasn’t a fan of the plain black.

F04 and F05 seem like absolutley perfect magical girl hairs, or just anime inspired sims in general, aha, though I’ll likley be using them for EGL sims. then the other two are dull by comparison… Daydream uses Trapping’s AA mesh, but I merged the family so you get all ages in one package, rather than seperate packages for different ages.

I was really lacking any custom coloured brows, so I just did a bunch from a few different creators that I like. They all come in the original afterglow family binned in one unisex package, and 9 customs. I’ve popped Volatile bases in the zips for all but JA’s brows as they already came in Volatile and I didn’t edit them.
