Founded by Lyralei, (hello!) Simblr.cc isn't necessarily intended as a Tumblr replacement, despite its name. Instead, it's a place where all the needs of simmers are met!

The idea came to me when I took a bit of a break from simming. After being away for about a year, I lost track of what was going on—who was doing what and what the next cool thing was. I struggled to find people's stories (no matter the game), and downloads often got swallowed up in the sea of new content, making them hard to find unless they were very popular. Simmers who wanted to showcase their sims and have fun had issues getting recognized, and the Tumblr algorithm wasn't helping us much either. Dead site content were all over the place, and were also a struggle to find. Many simmers would have mutliple download links going to the same content.

Not only that, but I also wanted a place where the Sims Medieval community and The Sims 1 players could belong without the use of a forum layout.

But most of all: I wanted a place where Storytellers, Creators, and everyday simmers could all come together and get the exposure and fun they deserve.
