I'm thrilled to share my very first mod! After running hundreds of tests and encountering no issues in my game, I decided it was finally time to release it.

This mod adds several post-abduction effects for sims, beyond just the "Abducted" moodlet and the potential risk of pregnancy. It makes sims truly look and feel like they were, as the moodlet describes, "a little probed."

Requirements

This mod requires the Seasons and Into the Future.

Main Features

For Sims (excluding Aliens and Plumbots):

  • 30% chance to receive the Nauseous moodlet. While The Sims Wiki states that "the Sim will have a negative thought bubble of the abducting alien, and may also cry, get angry or feel nauseous". In my experience, they only performed an animation. Therefore, I added the actual moodlet. Once the moodlet expires, the sim will vomit.
  • 30% chance to receive the Itchy moodlet. The sim will occasionally perform scratching animations.
  • 20% chance to emit a green glow, accompanied by a related moodlet, feeling dizzy and nauseous.
  • 10% chance to have one trait randomly replaced.
  • 5% chance for all motives to drop to critically low levels. (Not immediately fatal, but dangerous)
  • 5% chance for all motives to be fully replenished. The sim will also receive an energy-related moodlet

For Plumbots

  • 50% chance for all motives to be fully replenished.
  • 50% chance for all motives to drop to critically low levels.

Tuning

You can adjust the following values in the mod's XML file (the sum of probabilities can exceed 1):

  • kChanceNeedsDecrease value="0.05"
  • kChanceNauseous value="0.3"
  • kChanceItchy value="0.3"
  • kChanceNeedsFull value="0.05"
  • kChanceTraitChange value="0.1"
  • kChanceNotSoHealthyGlow value="0.2"
  • kAlienEffectsForRobots value="True" ( True = Plumbot Only, False = All Races )

Conflicts & Known Issues

This is a pure script mod, so there shouldn't be any conflicts. TO BE CLEAR it is partially compatible with the Abductor mod. If you use that mod and your sim turns into a Zombie after abduction, this mod's effects will not trigger.

Installation

Just place the package file in your Mods/Packages folder.
