4t3 Oversized Crops.

I ran into quite a few problems when making these new harvestables but I’ve finally got them to a stage I am happy to share with others. Please be aware there are still a few issues with them.
1) To make them function as I wished I needed to tick the “is mushroom” on the ingredients. This means that in your collections tab they will count towards your mushroom collecting, but due to the bonus from mushroom collecting being applied to these plants as well I felt this was okay.
2) When the plant dies it will change geostate rather than material, this means if the plant dies before reaching full size it will appear as if your plant grew and died as the dead state is full sized.
3) As I currently have these set you will need Seasons, Supernatural and the store object Humble Harvest Stands. You can however edit these in s3pe to remove those requirements. I have listed the issues which can be edited below the cut along with the images of each plant and how you can edit them.

Oversized Aubergine: When planted this will grow on one of the three plants, set at random. After it has been harvested it will reset to the mycelium stage of one of the three plants again at random. I have it set so that all recipes which use the Purple eggplant can also be made with this oversized aubergine. As such you will need the store content Humble Harvest stands for this unless you were to edit the ingredients xml in s3pe. The part you need to change is in the oversized aubergine’s Parent line, switch EggPlant with Fruit (or Vegetable if you’d rather).

Oversized Lettuce: This only has the one plant, however it will reset to the mycelium stage after harvesting. I have it set so that all recipes which use the EA lettuce can also be made with this oversized lettuce.

Oversized Mushroom: When planted this will grow on one of the three plants set at random. After it has been harvested it will reset to the mycelium stage of one of the three plants again at random. I have it set so that all recipes which use the Porcinis can also be made with this oversized mushroom. As such you will need Supernatural for this unless you were to edit the ingredients xml in s3pe. The part you need to change is in the oversized mushroom’s Parent line switch Porcinis with Vegetable.

Oversized Pumpkin: There are 3 colours to the pumpkins each has it’s own set of plants in the correct colour but all will function the same. When planted they will grow on one of the three plants set at random. After it has been harvested it will reset to the mycelium stage of one of the three plants again at random. You will always get an oversized pumpkin even from the plants which look smaller. I added the pumpkin carving to these as well. They however will revert back to EA’s pumpkins once you start carving. This means they will give you EA’s pumpkin seeds and the end result will be EA’s orange jack-o-lanterns. I have it set so that all recipes which use the EA pumpkin can also be made with this oversized pumpkin. As such you will need Seasons for these unless you were to edit the ingredients xml in s3pe. The part you need to change is in the Parent line switch Pumpkin with Vegetable and removed both the CodeVersion and Medator_Name lines from all 3 pumpkins.

Oversized Watermelon: When planted this will grow on one of the three plants set at random. After it has been harvested it will reset to the mycelium stage of one of the three plants again at random. I have it set so that all recipes which use the watermelon can also be made with this oversized watermelon. You will always get an oversized watermelon even from the plants which look smaller.

Last but not least I have left all of these as edible which in all honestly looks rather ridiculous. If you wish to removed this oddity from your game you can easily do so by editing the ingredients xml in s3pe you will want to switch the IsEdible line for each ingredient from True to False.

If anyone wanted to help me write some new script for the plants so they can retain the “ismushroom” functions without actually ticking that line in the ingredients xml and so I can make some new jack-o-lanterns I would be ever so grateful.
