Part 9: Modded Objects & Sets

For me, this is where the most fun of a Medieval game is...trying to replicate an actual economy and create supply and demand. I didn't realize just how much was possible until I visited PBK and discovered the Sun & Moon's Star Factory. These are just a few of my favorite Crafting Stations from them:

The Giving Tree
All Fired Up!
Fetch Water 3.0
To Boldly Grow: Garden Crop Collection
The Whole Hog
An Apple a Day: Seasonal Fruit Trees
Wild Berry Bushes 3.0
Wild Mushrooms
Grapes of Rad
Herbs, Spice & Everything Nice
The Spice Must Flow
The Basket Weaver 4.0
The Game's Afoot
Duck, Duck, Goose
Counting Your Chickens
Miner's Rock Crafting Station
Au Naturel Pet Food
Rabbit Hutch Crafting Station
Salt Crafting Station
It's a Trap!

There are many, many more Stations in the works at PBK including more livestock, but more excitingly: More Food and Goods Production Stations! The stuff they have in the pipeline makes e so excited that I almost want to put my game on hold so that I can use them once released!

Over at Simwardrobe you can find several fabulous items of usefulness! I'm unable to link to the pages individually, but if you go the "The Sims 2" section and then "Business Facilitators" then you will find these:

Produce Packing Station
Fish Packing Station

if you get these, be sure to check out Boiling Oil's Realistic Gardening mods as well to go with them!

Also, grab the Customer Limit Adjuster while you're there so that you'll be able to have more than 3 customers at a time :)

On the same site, but this time under "The Sims 2" and "Other Objects", I'd recommend grabbing the Checkbook for sending money to other Sims when you need to pay for goods or services rendered. If you do use it, make sure to download the beautiful Medieval recolor for it here!

NOTE: Simwardrobe is officially down, but some of his downloads can be found HERE courtesy of ihatemandatoryregister at MTS*

Parsimonious' Panacea

These are so cool! Just buy a potion for whatever Supernatural you want to become or cure! No more waiting for other Sims to transform you, which can be very tricky if you restrict appearances of your NPCs.

I really like the idea of Mog Hughson's Postal System for the Sims for a Historic Hood. In a time when letter writing was an art form and the only way to keep in touch with your loved ones, it's just a really nice touch to be able to have your (literate) Sims send each other letters. You can find period retextures of the object with custom cards here

I also use Mog Hughson's Job Seeking Noticeboard (Two-Tile) in my Public Venues. I pretend that my Peasants can find careers that way by looking at the pictures :). I made a retexture for this which can be found here if you'd like to use it!

There are a ton of really cool animated Farm Animals over at Affinity Sims. Be careful when using them, however, because they are considered to be Sims once they are placed in your game and deleting them will be the same as deleting any other Sim, meaning your game will be history!
