ScribbleMuffin: 4 Hair Retextures

Started by honowo

Binned, linked, commpressorized, meshes included. 2 customs, white and "button"- a soft green.

I know this isn't the widely used style around here. I figured I'd upload just in case there are other closet case texture-o-philes like me.

Can you believe this is the first time I've ever done any of these simple straight retextures? Never pookleted, nouked or anything. Straight hair bores me. Scribbling up and down isn't really that fun.

I really don't like many of the hair textures that are out there. Shiny, perfect, red-carpet ready boring. I hate smooth. I like rough fabrics and pores on skin. I like people who look like people.

So I've started making my one that works for me. It's drawn over Janita's, which I feel a little bad about, since it's against her TOS to use her textures. But I've scribbled over 75% of it already. If it's good enough for copyright law, it's good enough for me.

The effect is similar, but I got rid of the random streaks of Uber dark, and my texture is, and will continue to get, less repetitious. The textures are a wip, but these hairs work just fine for me. I don't intend all my hairs to look this dry either. Some of them will be shiny eventually.

Also, thanks to Pooklet, whose actions I used. Even though I ultimately shifted the colors.
