I had this skirt as a replacement for fbottomlongskirtsandals, but I only wanted it in a couple of colours, so I used it to replace 'fbottomneohippie' instead. Shows for adults, etc, etc.

Sometimes Maxis decides to make ten different recolours of the exact same thing. And most replacements have to find ten different recolours of a single mesh replace it with (I'm looking at you, bodyformaltrumpet). There is usually no item I like enough to have ten times so what I've done is replaced what would be a single Maxis item with a couple of different options; not just recolours. For instance in 'yfbottomhipsweats' there are six different recolours. Alienpod did a lovely replacement here using Sentate's Pond Skirt with converse. So, what I decided to do was replace the same thing with two different versions. In this case I picked the sweats. Because of the six different colours it meant I could use three skirts with the flats and three with the converse to replace everything!

Speaking of 'afbodyovercoatjacket', there was a pretty dress by Simsarenotfood being used as a replacement by Simmedy. So I took that dress and used it to replace afbodyneohippydress instead. I slightly recoloured one of the dresses as I didn't like the bright pink, and I also did my best to de-pixelate the dresses, smooth out the shadowing and fix the textures. (The previews above are before I realised that it wasn't that I had the wrong bump map, it was just that the bump map was so pixelated it was making it look weird.)

Then I wanted Io's Lacemaker top to replace something. Because I'm indecisive I first used it to replace 'aftopsleevelessshirt', but then changed my mind and used it to replace 'yftopneohippie' instead. So I uploaded both so others could choose one or the other. The neohippie shirt will now show for all ages, and I made the hidden one visible. These use the aftopnaked mesh, so if you have any replacements for the actual mesh for that then it'll use that. (In the end I found this replacement by alienpod and started using theirs instead after I'd changed the property sets to make them all visible and available to all ages. XD)

'mbodyhipsloppyvsweater' was something else that I didn't hate, it was just in atrocious colours. So I made a quick recolour using the similar sweater colours but toned down the shirts and trainers and I used a ClubCrimsyn denim texture on the pants. There's also a hidden recolour that I can't find the property set for anywhere so I can't unhide it, but I did recolour it anyway, just in case it ever showed up.
