There’s already a million presets out there, but what the hay, what’s another one to add to the pile?
I used my previous Reshade as a base, but it’s got a bit more too it. Firstly, it’s less saturated, around the same saturation as the game untouched, however it’s a bit brighter, and the bloom is much gentler. The DoF is also new, a slightly tweaked version of my DoF settings for my Sims 3 Reshade, so it’s strong, but not so strong that you’ll be spending an eternity trying to pinpoint exactly where the sweet spot is.
Now, I do have this lighting mod installed, so to have it look as is, I highly, highly recommend it. Plus it makes your sky look pretty.
SHORTCUTS
- F6 - Remove AO
- F7 - Remove DOF
- F9 - Remove Everything
HOW TO INSTALL
You’ll need the Reshade 2.0 Framework, and your TS4.exe profile ready to go. Download my preset, unzip all contents to your Reshade/Presets folder. Use your Reshade app to assign it to your TS4 profile, then run your game. Keep an eye out for some text at the top left hand corner to assure it’s working. Finally, when your main menu loads, open your game settings, and turn Smooth Edges completely off.
