About the mod:

The purpose is to make Sims on the phone available during a weekend, which means they are not at work or school.

You will be able to talk or invite other Sims over from Friday, 3 p.m., until the end of Sunday.

They might still decline for other reasons, but at least they are not at work / school independently of the day and hour on their lot.

Dependencies:

The mod works together with the "Days Of The Week" mod, here also called "From Monday to Sunday". Without it, this new feature doesn't work but doesn't hurt either. In this case it simply doesn't do anything and is kind of useless.

I'm currently preparing another flavor of the "Week" mod and I want this to work with that too.

How to install?

Make a copy of the file "PhoneGlobals.iff" (inside the dowloaded "zip" file) and place it into the following folder:

... / GameData / Global

next to the "Global.far" file.

There is no need to replace the phone that you already have, since it doesn't change the object itself. However, it adds / modifies some of it's functions.

It's one new function, the "weekend check", and other two functions, "availability checks", depend on it.

Note: The game has a peculiar way of deciding whether kids accept or decline an invitation, based on the current hour and minute. Until the minute 29, they accept, and if it's past minute 29 they decline.

This rule will not apply within the above specified time interval, i.e. (Fr. 3:00 p.m. - Su. 11:59 p.m.).
